Mission — “We aim to spark the imagination and curiosity of children everywhere by providing them with fun, entertaining and educational activities that instill a clear understanding of what science is really about and how it affects the world around them.” FULL DAY and HALF DAY OPTIONS!
Monday, December 29
NASA: STEM Explorers - Roving Rovers
Developed in partnership with NASA, we will think and act like NASA innovators during this hands-on program inspired by NASA OPSPARC. After receiving you mission notebook, you will design and build a Mars Rover. Your rover will be tested over various obstacles to ensure it can navigate Mars’ brutal terrain. From mission patches to engineering for space NASA Roving Rovers is out of this world!
Rocketry
Here is your chance to be a rocket scientist! Investigate the four forces of flight as you race through space learning the basics of rocket travel. Build your own Mad Science rocket to take home. If we have fair skies, we’ll even see the principles of propulsion at work with a real rocket launch!
Friday, January 2
Slimy Science & Smokey Ice
Build model molecules, copper-plate a nickel, and make your very own ooey gooey Mad Science slime and putty to take home! Witness fantastic dry ice demonstrations with smoking & bubbling flasks!
Shake It Up
Immerse yourself in the world of acids and bases, solutions and solubility, and lots of crazy chemical reactions! We’ll make corks pop, mix up a “magic muffin,” dissolve Styrofoam, create crystal gardens and even experiment with shaving cream marbling!
Monday, January 19
Eureka – Science Fiction
Inventing means reaching for the stars! The children build wind-up space stations, and design safety capsules for payloads returning from space. They race in a robotic relay, and learn about microgravity, rockets, and space stations. The camp culminates in children building their own sci-fi inspired light sticks that they can take home, along with their dreams of the future!
Eureka – Shipwrecked
Inventing means survival! A deserted island is the scene for this day filled with problem-solving and adventure! Children witness a volcanic eruption and learn how magnets can help search for shipwrecks. They have to work together to design and build bridges and boats to eventually escape the island and find their way home.

Chemical Curiosity
Mix up potions and experiment with all kinds of chemical reactions! Combine chemicals to create exothermic reactions, examine our non-Newtonian fluid, make your own sidewalk chalk and crystal gardens to take home!
Jr Geologist
Calling all Junior Geologists! Unearth the rock cycle and discover the difference between sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous rocks. Replicate rumbling earthquakes and explosive volcanoes, pan for gems, and create a sedimentary stacker to take home!
Monday, February 16
Detective Science
Help solve the Bustertown Bake-Off Mystery! We’ve been asked to help the police investigate the scene of the “crime;” we’ll dust for fingerprints, examine clues, analyze different powders and interview witnesses. Help figure out whodunit!
Lasers and Optics
Become immersed in the world of lasers, light, and color! Discover how laser light differs from white light as we bend & shine beams of light all around the room and dissect white light with our special specs! Witness a small indoor fireworks display to show how different metals react to heat, and learn about tricks our eyes play on us by experimenting with mirrors and optical illusions!
Spring Break (March 30 - April 3)
Eureka – Flight to the Future
Bring your imagination & let it SOAR as you create a squadron of paper airplanes the Wright brothers would be proud of! Explore technological advances in flight: hot air balloons, flying machines, stomp rockets, & spacecraft. Become inspired by Verne and Asimov! All campers will build and take home their own sci-fi inspired light sabers!
Secret Agent Lab – Funky Forensics
Focus on the science of forensics in this hands-on look at crime scenes. Identify and collect evidence, from fingerprints to tracks to trash! Recreate the scene of a crime using clues and detailed observations. Use science to connect the dots and help sniff out the suspects in this hands-on investigation into the science of sleuthing!
