Abrakadoodle, School's Out - Nov 26 - AM Session The best thing to do when ‘School’s Out’ is to join Abrakadoodle for a morning of Art! Our Art Camps include art lessons, music, games, crafts, music, and special activities for children ages 5-12. Abrakadoodle art program offers a multi-media art program that is both educational and fun. Our curriculum is focused on the elements of art, art techniques, styles, art history and the sequential development of skills. Students create artwork inspired by famous artists, art styles and world cultures while they celebrate their creativity and uniqueness. Our lessons use a variety of safe non-toxic art materials that bring an engaging multi-arts experience to studentsWorld Celebrations (Oct 31, and Nov 26)Become a global artist discovering luminous celebrations around the world! Shine a little love as you visit gardens in Ireland, play hide-n-seek in the Ukraine and create happy and surprised pumpkin faces as you discover traditions in Scotland. Grab your lantern to light the way for an exploration of feathery painting, collage, stamping, weaving and much more. Join us for one or all 4 days out to explore all of the World Celebrations Abrakadoodle highlights! If you give a Mouse a Paintbursh (Dec 29, Dec 30, and Dec 31*)This camp centers around the popular children’s book series that features a mouse, a pig and a moose! Campers will create some very cool art by painting, printing, stamping and designing. They’ll have great fun with experimentation. If you give a child imaginative art supplies, there’s no telling what he or she will create! Fueled by music, games and fun activities, children’s imaginations are sure to go wild!!! *AM OnlyWalking through the Winter Wonderland (Jan 2)Celebrate winter with creativity! Paint snowy owls inspired by artist Mark Hearld and have fun with Albert Laessie’s playful penguin sculptures. Experiment with a variety of art materials and use your imagination to create a winter wonderland!Creative Dreamers Art Camp (Jan 19)Join us to share your dreams in your own creative way! In our camp, we will celebrate Dr. King’s Day by making artwork that reflects our dreams. We will learn about artists such as Sherrie Levine and Faith Ringgold while we learn new art techniques and experiment with different art materials. Come dream with us!Art that POPS! STEAM Art Camp (Feb 12 & Feb 13)Get ready for a creative adventure where STEM and Art collide in the most POP-tastic ways. In this camp art jumps off the page! We will create anaglyph images, rocket lava lamps, animal sponges, neon light signs, pop-up cards and many more hands-on art projects. We will have fun from the beginning to the end, inspired by Op artist Olimpia Zagnoli, Neo-Folk artist Kristin Farr, Lothar Meggendorfer famous for his pop-up books and Kasing Lung whose plush toys became a pop culture icon around the world! Using our wild imaginations and cool STEAM tricks, every day will bring a new surprise!Pat Push and Pull (March 20)Use your fingers to pat, push and pull clay materials into ceramic objects. Be inspired by ancient and modern artists to create your own expressions of clay art. Lessons using Chinese artifacts, mythology, and modern decorative design give the young artist an opportunity to make 3D objects that encourage mastery of clay techniques.Really Big Gigantic Teeny Tiny Spring Break Art Camp (March 30 - April 3)It’s all about scale in this creative camp! We learn about saving our planet and create cool globes! We learn about glass sculptures inspired by Dale Chihuly. We’ll make both a gigantic sculpture and small sculptures using recycled products and much more. This camp promises big, gigantic, huge, and rewarding FUN!
