The best thing to do when ‘School’s Out’ is to join Abrakadoodle for a morning of Art! Our Art Camps include art lessons, music, games, crafts, music, and special activities for children ages 5-12. Abrakadoodle art program offers a multi-media art program that is both educational and fun. Our curriculum is focused on the elements of art, art techniques, styles, art history and the sequential development of skills. Students create artwork inspired by famous artists, art styles and world cultures while they celebrate their creativity and uniqueness. Our lessons use a variety of safe non-toxic art materials that bring an engaging multi-arts experience to students
European Masters (Sept 21 and Nov 25)
How can an artist find inspiration to paint, print and sculpt? Learn from great artists who found new ways to use art materials and see the world around them. Feel inspired to show your house or hometown. Use today’s and yesterday’s art materials to explore color ideas, show a familiar place or celebrate a famous person. You will learn about French artist Georges Rouault’s famous portrait, German Expressionist Franz Marc’s strangely colored animals, Dutch master Vincent Van Gogh’s hide-away bedroom at Arles and more. The greatest European Masters will inspire you to make art about your world and have fun exploring new ideas!
Urban Artists (Winter Break - Dec 28, Dec 29, Dec 30)
Walk in the shoes of an Urban Artist while touring public spaces and art styles from around the world! Drip paint as you spot organic shapes in the USA, have perspective on the cliffs of Spain, find animals made from recycled materials in Portugal, and be surprised as artworks pop up throughout the streets of the United Kingdom. Tag a fence or doodle your way into a discovery of drawing, painting, collage, relief sculpture and much more.
