Fine Art, Kids Look Listen Create - Fine Art Kids Look Listen Create teaches classical music and fine art appreciation programs with stories, games, movement, and crafts. Their mission is to expose young children to classical music and fine art through active engagement, stimulate imagination and encourage unlimited interpretations of works of art and classical music, promote childhood creativity and play by offering creative movement and open-ended crafts, and encourage ecological values by using natural and recyclable materials during the crafts.Fine Art, Winter SessionIn this program, kids will be introduced to famous artists and their art through stories and games. Children will be familiarized with the art of Goya, Klimt, Van Gough, Monet, Cassatt, and Picasso. Also, each class will have an open-ended craft inspired by works of art, stories, and presented materials.Fine Art, Spring SessionIn this program, kids will be introduced to famous artists and their art through stories and games. They will discuss paintings and architecture. Among other things, we will notice colors and shapes and discuss some of the techniques and ideas artists used. Children will be familiarized with works by Renoir, Rousseau, Gaudi, Klee, and Picasso. Each class will end with an open-ended craft inspired by works of art, stories, and presented materialsFine Art, Summer SessionIn this program, kids will be introduced to famous artists and their art through stories and games.We will discuss paintings and environmental art. Among other things, we will identify portraits and landscapes, ponder how various works of art make us feel, and what we consider art. Children will be familiarized with the art of Arcimboldo, Monet, Gauguin, Matisse, and Christo and Jeanne-Claude. Each class will end with an open-ended craft inspired by works of art, stories, and presented materials.
