Engineering for Kids
At Engineering For Kids we believe that children are natural born engineers who have unlimited imaginations and unbridled enthusiasm.  We offer fun, hands-on learning for children ages 4 to 12.  Our activities range from building flashlights and rockets to programming video games and robots.  The variety of programming is extraordinary!
 
Weekend Virtual Programs
 
Virtual Class – Electronic Game Design: Temple Escape!
In Electronic Game Design: Temple Escape!, we will create our own version of a platform game that is set in an ancient, abandoned temple that will require all of Arkansas’s skills to make it out alive! We will use the Engineering Design Process to create a storyboard to outline the rules of play and characters for our game. Then, we will use Construct to bring our storyboard to life with programming.
 
 
Virtual Class – Electronic Game Design: Bug Invasion
Eek! The bugs are after our birthday cake!! In Electronic Game Design: Bug Invasion, we will create our own version of an invader defense game that is set in a home where we have to defend our birthday cake from an infestation of ravenous bugs! We will use the Engineering Design Process to create a storyboard to outline the rules of play and characters for our game. Then, we will use Construct to bring our storyboard to life with programming.

Virtual Class – Computer Aided Design (CAD) (Ages 8 - 14 Years)
Students will learn the basics of 3d design and modeling. Using the TinkerCAD platform, we will design, build, and edit 3d
models. Basic principles of 3d printing and other uses for solid modeling will be covered. At the end of the class students
will be able to make a model suitable for 3d printing.
