Classical Music, Kids Look Listen Create - Session 2
Kids Look Listen Create teaches classical music and fine art appreciation programs with stories, games, movement, and crafts. Their mission is to expose young children to classical music and fine art through active engagement, stimulate imagination and encourage unlimited interpretations of works of art and classical music, promote childhood creativity and play by offering creative movement and open-ended crafts, and encourage ecological values by using natural and recyclable materials during the crafts.Session 2This session introduces children to classical music through playful, themed adventures. Each week, we will explore a different topic—such as fairy-tale characters, not-so-scary creatures, animals, instruments, or dances—through listening, games, movement, and creative activities. Children will play musical guessing games, listen for clues in the music, and step into character as they move, pretend, and explore. Throughout the program, they will be encouraged to use their imagination and respond creatively to what they hear. Each class concludes with an open-ended craft inspired by the children's experiences and ideas.Classical Music QuestsEach week, children will go on a new classical music quest, meeting characters from famous musical works—like Papageno and the Sugar Plum Fairy—and discovering music by composers such as Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Rossini, Mussorgsky, and others. Children will step into character, move to music, play musical games, and help the characters overcome challenges along the way. Each class concludes with an open-ended craft inspired by the musical adventure and the prepared materials.
